Montgomery Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1989 by Dr. James “Jim” Fischer. Jim put his heart and soul into the hospital forming it into one of the most reputable hospitals in Orange County today. His veterinary skills and dedication to the animals was steadfast and unmistakable. His compassion and commitment were unwavering.
Jim, without a doubt, loved what he did. We, here at Montgomery Veterinary Hospital, love what we do. We lost our founder on January 9, 2016 but our commitment to the hospital, and continuing his legacy, is as strong as ever.
We have restructured the hospital. We have a new team to assist you and your pet’s healthcare needs. From general wellness, dentistry, spay and neuter, surgeries, to in depth diagnostics. We hope to address all your pet’s healthcare needs as faithfully as we have in the past.
Our team was rooted in the Hudson Valley Region, and for us, this community is home. Dr. Grech grew up in Orange County, New York, and after a stint in California, came to realize her calling was right here. Her connection to animals runs deep — she was involved in the local horseback riding club, G&M, from the age of four until she went off to college at seventeen.
As a team, we have always had a passion for helping people with their animals, be they horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, or any other fur baby. Our doctors’ special interests span animal behavior, internal medicine, and surgery.
