At Montgomery Veterinary Hospital, we believe every pet deserves honest, down-to-earth care from a veterinarian who truly cares. Dr. Melissa Grech-Attard, DVM, built this practice on that belief, bringing years of hands-on clinical experience, advanced training, and a lifelong love of animals to every patient she sees in Montgomery, NY, and the surrounding Orange County communities.
Owner & Veterinarian, Montgomery Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Grech-Attard was raised in Orange County, New York. From the age of four, she was immersed in the world of animals through her involvement in the local horseback riding club, G&M, a passion she carried all the way to college. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2006, then went on to St. Kitts, where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in January of 2010. Dr. Grech-Attard has developed deep clinical interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and diagnostic imaging, bringing a thorough and thoughtful approach to every case she handles at Montgomery Veterinary Hospital.
In addition to her veterinary credentials, Dr. Grech-Attard is a certified dog trainer with a focus on obedience and anxiety-caused behaviors, giving her a uniquely well-rounded perspective on animal health and behavior. Above all, she is committed to offering down-to-earth, honest, and passionate care to every patient and pet owner who walks through our doors. Outside the clinic, she loves exploring adventures with her German Shorthaired Pointers, spending time with her daughter, husband, and horses, and volunteering with local humane societies and rescue groups.
